Pine table from Joe Hausmann Estate
Bluff Community, Fayette County.
Legs are attached with metal screws.
Joe Sr. came from Austria in 1840 where he was a cabinetmaker.  Joe Jr.
was born in 1856 and opened a blacksmith shop in 1870 at the age of 14.
He married in 1882 and around 1885-1890 opened a store and cotton gin.
He stopped merchandising the store around 1940 and sold well machinery
- his son August Hausman was a well driller.  Around 1949 he closed the
cotton gin.  The table was reported to have been used in the store.
